WHAT IT MEANS TO BE A REAL GALLAGHER GIRLBy AbbeyCammie, Macey, Liz and Bex are Gallagher Girls in both body and mind. They are real Gallagher Girls. However, you don't have to attend Gallagher Academy to be a real Gallagher Girl. If you have the heart of a Gallagher Girl, then you truly are a real Gallagher Girl. All you have to do is have the right mindset, outlook, and attitude.Gallagher Girls aren't perfect. The girls at the Academy may seem like they can do no wrong, but they have fears and flaws just like everyone else—this is something all real Gallagher Girls understand. Just because you are a Gallagher Girl doesn't mean you aren't selfish, stubborn, or scared, but real Gallagher Girls have the strength and will to overcome these flaws.Gallagher Girls have the mindset that they can do anything regardless of what others may think. They are brave enough to follow their hearts and learn from their mistakes. Gallagher Girls have a positive outlook on life—they know life won't be perfect, but they take it as it comes. Gallagher Girls have a good attitude as well; though they have flaws, they are respectful, caring, strong, and helpful.The moral here is anyone can be a Gallagher Girl. You don't have to be rich, pretty, fearless, or brilliant. You can fall flat on your face every day as long as you pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and laugh. To be a real Gallagher Girl, you simply have to be the best person you can be.Again, thanks to everyone who entered. The number and quality of the entries absolutely blew my mind.Have a great day, everyone!Allyps...It has come to my attention that the winning essay went over the 250 word limit by two words. This was an oversight on the part of me and the celebrity guest judge (my mom). But yesterday was Mother's Day, so I think the Gallagher Girl-verse should cut her (and me) some slack.The prizes are in the mail and the contest is finished. I hope everyone enjoyed the contest. If you would like to see more contests in the future I highly recommend the aforementioned slack.It was a lot of work but also, hopefully, a lot of fun. And, again, congratulations to EVERYONE for a job well done.
